Providing Help in Our Community
Through the generosity of some very special donors, BWBT has purchased a ten-acre tract of land in Brazoria County, Texas. Future plans are for the land to provide a cluster of buildings for organizations that provide group homes. When completed, it will be home to many abused, lost and forgotten women and children.
First on the list is a group home to be run by Kidz Harbor. Currently, Kidz Harbor provides foster care facilities for kids up to 18 years of age. When these kids "age out" of the foster care system, they are expected to be on their own. This new facility will provide a transitional home for kids after they turn 18 and are going to college and/or working and learning to live independently.
The land will also be home to a 10,000 square foot distribution center that will store large quantities of donated food and personal items to be distributed to local outreach shelters and organizations that provide assistance on a daily basis but do not have the facilities to store large quantities of items at one time.

The land has been cleared and culverts installed for drainage. We are in the process of raising funds to pour concrete and put up the first building.
