There are many ways that you can
volunteer to help make a difference with Builders Without
Borders of Texas.
- Form a group to help build or
adopt a home.
- Join one of our crews and help
build a home.
- Visit with and hold interactive
activities with the local children on one of our visits.
- Make a donation to help build a
home.
VOLUNTEERING AS A GROUP
Builders Without Borders of Texas
enjoys working with churches, businesses and student
organizations. Groups can participate in our
Adopt-A-House Program. In this program, an
organization sets a goal of raising enough money to build
an entire home. In Carboneras, where Builders Without
Borders of Texas is currently working, the entire cost
of a
home is approximately $4,500.

If you are 18 years
of age or older and plan to work in Carboneras,
please print out the Adult
Release Form. Also you will
need:
- A passport or certified copy of
your birth certificate.
- A driver's license or picture ID.
Vehicle
title registration if you plan to drive in Mexico.
The vehicle visa and insurance for a one-week visit will be
approximately $60.00 which can be paid for at the border.
If you are a minor,
you must fill out the
Youth Release Form and have two (2)
copies of the Minor
To Travel Form. Both must be
signed and notarized with the appropriate
signatures. Also you will need:
- A passport or certified copy of
your birth certificate.
- Picture ID.
The documentation and release
forms for Adults and Minors are required to travel across
any international border. |
