Providing Help in Our Community
Through the generosity of some very special donors, BWBT has purchased a ten-acre tract of land in Brazoria County, Texas. Future plans are for the land to provide a cluster of buildings for organizations that provide group homes. First on the list is a group homes to be run by Kidz Harbor. Currently, Kidz Harbor provides foster care facilities for kids up to 18 years of age. This new facility will provide a transitional home for kids after they turn 18 and are going to college and/or working and learning to live independently. The land will also be home to a 10,000 square foot distribution center that will store large quantities of donated food and personal items to be distributed to local outreach shelters and organizations that provide assistance on a daily basis but do not have the facilities to store large quantities of items at one time.
