Kenbe Fem
In 2013, we took ownership of Kenbe Fem, a children's home in Jacmel that was about to close its doors. Within the year, we were able to secure ten acres of property and build a permanent home for the children. Before that, the home was paying a large amount of money each year in rent and the children had to move frequently. Kenbe Fem provides a home for 54 children. Kenbe Fem is not an institution. It is a family home. While there are staff who help with the daily care that is required by 54 children, the home is managed and cared for by house parents Frantzo and Anise. The children have nutritional meals, clean water, clothes, medical care, go to school and church, and receive love and nurturing guidance from Frantzo and Anise.

Kenbe Fem Home Construction 2014
Our construction projects in Haiti provide jobs for Haitians.
These are the faces of some of the children who live at Kenbe Fem.
It costs a minimum of $5,000 a month to run the home. This does not include special circumstances and emergencies that arise; like last year when Djovendy needed life-saving treatment after an accident caused head trauma. You can help by becoming a Kenbe Fem sponsor. Our partners at Network for Good make it simple. You can set up your monthly donation here. Just choose the amount you would like to give and set your payment method.
